It is time to begin wrapping up my Kleveland visit as a part of New Beer Sunday (Week 655). I have run through all but one of my Platform beers & I have something else in mind for that one. I raise a glass in tribute to Great-Aunt Rita & Great-Uncle Max of Parma, Ahia, both now long gone. I had a blast of a visit with them in 1989 & with Rita a couple of times subsequent to that, including the blizzard of 1994. I still have (-removed) cousins in the area, but I maintain my animosity during NFL football season.
From the bottle: "Inspired by the Great Lakes region (our big backyard), our single hop Session IPA is brewed for days when you can only guess the time based on where the sun sits in the sky."
I Pop!ped the cap & gave it an aggro pour, having been (mostly) gentle with my CANs today. This raised an unbidden, unswirled two-plus fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, eggshell-white head with decent retention. Color was Golden-Amber (SRM = > 5, < 7) with NE-quality clarity, prompting a late-night visit from The Gelt Gang of Mammon, Midas & Croesus, all of whom had spent the afternoon on my couch watching football. Nose smelled of lemongrass, very pleasant and lightly bitter. 50 IBUs, to be exact. Mouthfeel was medium. The taste was light and refreshing, very lemony with a biscuit malt backbone. I have mentioned Enrico's Biscotti in Pixburgh's Strip District in the past & here was another example of their lemon biscotti in liquefied format. Mmm. Very tasty. Finish was dry, refreshing, but still not enough to satisfy my AIPA itch. YMMV.

Taste: snappy dry floral hoppy notes. Same with the nose. Amber/Gold color, clear, with a foamy head and sticky lattice of lace. Medium body. Crisp and easy to drink. 50 IBUs

Beer poured from a bottle into a pint glass. Beer pours orange and yellow with a large fluffy white head. Smells of citrus and earthy hops. Tastes of light backbone of sweet grain with floral and citrus hops. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, an above average beer.

12oz bottle into a pint glass. best by 8/24/17, so just under the wire here.
looks pretty nice, fair amount of light carbonation bubbles, lovely pale golden yellow body, nice white head, quite pretty lacing.
aroma is a nice mix of of grapefruit/mango.
taste is similar to the nose, fruit flavors released by the hops used. There is a faint cattiness.
A touch above medium on the mouth, there is a somewhat unpleasant sour/bitterness to the finish though.
Overall, other than the finish, which i mostly avoided by taking frequent slugs (Thank you sessionability) this was one of the nicer session ipas I've tried.
