Another on-tap only "pub exclusive" at the GLBC, and also a brand new beer I believe. Served to me in a pint glass, this beer is a very dark, almost black color with slight deep ruby highlights around the edges when held up to the light. Had slightly off white head that's about1/2?of an inch thick when first served to me that settles to a fairly thin ring lining the inside of the glass a few minutes after it was served to me. Not much lacing to all to speak of. Aromas of dark roasted, smokey caramel malts and chocolate and perhaps a slight hint of oyster. Has a smokey, dark roasted caramel malt sweetness with hints of chocolate and roasted black coffee bitterness along with a slight hint of oysters. Perhaps also a slight bit of hop bitterness. Has a somewhat crisp, also somewhat smooth and frothy, medium bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Another very good offering from the brewers at the GLBC.
