Pours a clear gold color. 1/4 inch head of a white color. Decent retention and good lacing. Smells of strong earthy malt, yeast, pale malt, slight sweet malt, and slight spicy hops. Fits the style of an American Pale Ale. Mouth feel is sharp and clean, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of earthy malt, slight spicy hops, pale malt, hint of citrus hops, hint of sweet malt, and a hint of alcohol. Overall, good appearance and body, but aroma and blend are lacking.

A few Days past best by date. Blow on Hop Aroma with more grainy quality forward in the aroma. Nice amber color with a small the dense head. Slate hot presents in the taste with a little hop sting on the tongue that moves into a mild bitterness through a fairly long finish. The green tea taste is largely non distinct. A bit about grapefruit bite to the hop flavor. Smooth mouthfeel. With some phones as well. Nice solid drinking beer.
Thanks bro.

Poured into a snifter.
3.5 A: Well hazed golden color. Two fingers of creamy white head. Retention is a touch below average and one finger of lacing is left.
3.5 S: Grassy hops with an almost sorachi ace type lemongrass. Big oats with grainy and bready malts.
3.5 T: Tastes just like it smells. Mild-moderate bitterness. Grassy and mildly citrusy hops with notes of orange. Oats galore with graininess and bready yeast.
3.5 M: Medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Very mild creaminess and a touch of chewiness.
3.5 D: It's a pretty good oat pale. There's not much more to say.

12oz bottle, best before 05/14/17, served in a shaker pint glass.
Appearance: Mostly clear gold to amber beer with just the barest amount of chill haze when held up to the light. Off-white head with plenty of sheets of persistent lacing noted.
Smell: Citrus - orange and lemon. Some grassiness, pine, and maybe melon as well.
Taste: Nicely bitter and hoppy - citrus and pine, and a bit of a lingering finish as well. Malt is cracker-like and muted.
Mouthfeel: Very sticky on the teeth with the hop oils. Nice thickness, maybe even a little chewy.
Overall / Drinkability: Very hoppy for a APA. Other than the name and the label telling me this has oats in it, I would not have guessed. Indeed, I would have called this an AIPA rather than an APA. Has aspects of Burning River to it. Easily drinkable, but I think just one per evening for me.

Oats MacDonald Pale Ale brewed by Great Lakes Brewing Co., 5.70% ABV. This APA pours out a nice golden amber color with a small white head. There is some decent Spotty lacing to this brew, it sticks to the side of the glass well. The smell of this brew is rich with hops, earthly grains and malts. There is also a slight sweetness to this brew. Now for the taste, it is bold with flavors. You first pick up on hop bitterness and some nice earthly grains and malts. The sweetness is a nice note to this brew. There is a lot going on in this brew, I like how smooth this brew goes down. Oats MacDonald Pale Ale, has a real nice balance to it, there is nothing overpowering about this brew. The mouth feel is Bold, Hoppy, Clean Smooth and Refreshing. Overall I'm giving this brew a 4.25 out of 5. Great Lakes Brewing Co., Did a real nice job with this brew. I would look this brew up again.

Oats MacDonald Pale Ale | Great Lakes Brewing Co. Poured from the bottle into a pint glass , the head is three fingers thick with solid lacing, and a medium-dark golden body.
I smell some milder oat elements, along with other brighter, clearer malts+grains.
Tastes like easy-going, slightly grassy malts with lighter hops balancing out the brew.
Medium-light mouthfeel with mild carbonation.
I'll give Oats MacDonald Pale Ale | Great Lakes Brewing Co. a 4.25.

Aroma is citrus, light pine and malts/grains/mild oats. The flavor is grapefruit, malts/mild oats, fruit and a bitter hop/very slightly tart/sour finish.
