Having this on-two at the brewpub, as this is yet another one of their on-tap only "pub exclusives". Served time in a pint glass, This beer draws a clear, medium amber/golden color with a thick white ring lining the inside of the glass with a big cluster swirl of a film layer of foam on the beer's surface. Decent lacing here. Aromas of some bready, caramel malt sweetness along a nice hint of ginger and some hibiscus. The taste is pretty much the same, with bready malts with a slight caramel sweetness and a string hint of ginger along with a subtle hint of hibiscus. Also a piney and citrus hop presence that gives it some balance. I really like the ginger notes here. Has a somewhat crisp, yet smooth, medium bodied mouthfeel with moderate to heavy carbonation. Has a clean finish. Easy to drink in the way a beer of this style should be.
