A- Pours a clear golden color with a thin white head. Not too much lacing either. Looks like a Bud so kinda boring.

S- Fairly light in the smell. It kind of remidned me of the Grassroots Ale, same basic smell. A touch of malts, tiny bit of hops and some spicy notes.

T- Again kind of boring and it reminded me of the Grassroots Ale. A bit of malts and hops and finishes with a bit of spice.

M- Watery, crisp and really light.

D- Is to drink just not a lot going on. I'll pass on this one next time, but was glad I got to try it.

Pub exclusive on tap at the brewery last night into a clean, clear pint glass.

A Clear light straw with visible carbonation rising up. Short head which dissipates in a few minutes. Kind of an average look really.

S Not much, maybe some distant grains, malt.

T Watery, distant ale, like a lager really but smoother, not quite as watery as a lager would be. Maybe some distant hops. Very little to no aftertaste.

M Thin, watery.

D Really great which I think is the aim of this style. The only problem is that I am not interested in this beer to get more than one of them.

Notes: Great Lakes has much more interesting, challenging offerings than this Cream Ale. It is true to style, however, and a tad better than "an average Cream Ale."

Had a pint of this on-tap at the brewery pub back on Friday night. This is yet another on-tap only "pub exclusive" that I had never had before. Served to me in a standard pint glass. This beer is a clear, light golden color with a white head about 1/4 inch thick when served. The head eventually sets to a thin white ring lining the inside of the glass. Decent lacing. Aromas of light malt and some maize and a bit of hops. The taste is the same, slight sweet caramel malt flavor, a bit of corn, only the corn taste here is real and somewhat tasty and not some adjunct crappy corn flavoring found in a lot of BMC macro lagers. The taste is rounded out with a mild hop presence. Well balanced flavors, all of which I wish were a bit stronger overall. This is Great Lakes' version of a light beer, and not a bad one at all at that. The BMC macro light beers of the world could all certainly learn a thing or 2 from this beer. If they did then their beers would actually be palatable to a lot of us BA's here. Has a crisp, fairly light bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Easy to drink in a good way, but a bit weak here in terms of flavor, at least by the standard I have come to expect from Great Lakes.

Pours a light golden color with a nice head and retention (on-tap into a pint glass). Smells like a lighter beer, with not too much of a distinct scent. Has a very light taste with a nice balance to it, and finishes with a strong taste of corn. Feels light in the mouth, with a good amount of carbonation. Very easy to drink, tasty, with a nice finish to it...
