Split a bomber of this with a friend of mine earlier this evening. Poured into my pokal glass, this beer pours a clear, medium to dark amber color with a just slightly off-white head that's an inch thick when first poured. Settles to a thick ring lining the inside of the glass, a creamy looking film layer of surface foam, and very nice lacing. Aromas of slightly toasted, bready caramel malts along with some piney, earthy hops. A very similar flavor profile, with the slightly toasted, bready malt sweetness with caramel notes of course and that's followed by slightly piney, slightly resinous, earthy hops that have just the right amount bitterness. A very well balanced flavor profile overall. Has a slightly crisp, mainly smooth and frothy, medium to full bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Has a somewhat dry finish and the malty flavors really like to linger on my palate nicely for awhile after each sip. A good beer here.

There's something about beer in a bomber that just makes for a more tantalizing experience for the eyes. Being able to pour multiple times from the same vessel has its allure too.

Center Cut Lager pours a nice, white head with frothy bubbles and pleasant, smooth carbonation. It's got a burnt apricot color to it and retains a thin lacing around the glass as time goes one, which gradually dissipates towards the end of consumption. The last fourth of the glass had no head.

Nice balance of malt taste and aroma, while still reminding you of its humble lager origins. This has more substance and body to it than a regular lager, thanks to its Kulmbacher-style origins. Toasty in flavor, clean in finish. By the end of the glass, the palate is neither weary nor unamused, and the beauty of the bomber comes back into play as another round gets poured. Good balance between alcohol (6%) and bitterness (30 IBU).

Another sip glides over the tongue and easily makes its way down the hatch, leaving you ready to raise the glass once again. Overall, a great and interesting approach to a style that seldom gets brewed.
