16 oz can from Michigan with a July 23, 2022 date stamped on the bottom.

Appearance. Going from a gentle to a more aggressive pour about halfway through the pour allowed a suitably tall off-white head to rise up over the modestly hazy, amber-copper colored body.

This fruity IPA has a medium body and near medium carbonation. There are no off notes.

A: mostly clear golden brown, and a light tan head.

S: grapefruit, and orange in the aroma.

T: grapefruit, honey, and tangerine. Done pine in the finish, and a touch of earth.

M: medium feel moderate carbonation, and a bitter cling.

O: so overall this beer is enjoyable, but not to style. Rating for style it misses the mark, but as a beer it's tasty.

Tidal Fury from Great Lakes Brewing. Purchased at Franklin Beer, Franklin, PA, 27/07/22 for $ 3.00 (Including tax), $ 0.188/oz. In reefer at store, stored at 37 degrees at home. Reviewed 28/07/22. Note that I use DD/MM/YY protocol.
Stamped on bottom of can “07/23/22”. Served at 46.0 degrees in a hand washed and dried Jester King Snifter. Final temperature 57.7 degrees.
Appearance – 4.
First pour – Straw (SRM 3), hazy.
Body – Pale Gold (SRM 4), opaque. When rear-lite, translucent gold with suspension of near-microscopic particles.
Head – Large (Maximum 5.2 cm, aggressive center pour), floral white, creamy with average retention, receding to a two to five mm crown fed by effervescence, and a rocky partial cap. Islands and archipelagoes of lacing remain as the head contracts.
Lacing – Fair. Irregular jagged band of tiny to small bubbles. See also above.
Aroma – 3– A bit of tropical fruit and hops. No malt, no yeast.
Flavor – 3.5 – Follows the nose. A bit tropical fruity with some hop bitterness. No malt, no yeast. No ethanol (8 % ABV as marked on label) aroma or taste. Weak gastric warming. No dimethylsulfide or diacetyl. Ends slightly bitter.
Palate – 3 – Medium, watery, soft carbonation.
Final impression and summation: 3.5 A decent but unremarkable IPA – below GL’s usual standards. I would classify this as an Imperial IPA rather than as a New England IPA.

I got a 4pck of cans of this beer from my local Giant Eagle store. It poured a slightly hazy golden with white head that is leaving a nice lace. The scent had faint melon like hop notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with mild stone and guava fruit presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a good beer.

Expended more for a hazy IPA from Great Lakes. Alcohol is too high and beer is too sweet.

Pours a deep gold. Thick foam. Clean hop aroma. Really heavy hop body. Super bitter. Not a lot of flavor. Finishes slightly sweet. A bit disappointing for Great Lakes.

1 PINT can
Served in a pint glass

This beer pours amber with a slight haze. It is topped with an inch of beige head that leaves nice lacing.

Citrus and tropical fruit aroma. Orange smell stands out.

Orange flavor upfront. Some grapefruit in the finish. Citrus throughout.

Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel

Not bad. It is a very solid DIPA. If it were lower abv I would consider it for a session or 7.

I really looked forward to this one. Not bad. Just not great. I had high expectations, and honestly I was a bit let down, and I'm a HUGE GLBC fan! I just expected a bit more.

First Great Lakes brew I’ve had since their winter warmer, poured into ipa glass dated 7/23/22. Enjoying it with pulled pork shout out to the other reviewer who also had it with pulled pork

L: lighter on the bottom, darker toward the top. It’s a somewhat glowing burnt orange color with an off white head that lasts. Looks unfiltered rather than the average haze without all the sediment which is a unique touch. Looks great.

S: mango guava with a hint of spice and hop bitterness. Thr profile is a bit different, reminds me a bit of Bodem, my personal favorite ipa.

T: it’s one of those rare beers I almost feel bad about drinking. It starts with the guava taste mixed with a solid malt backbone with a whisper of hop bitterness. Then it morphs into a refreshing unfiltered citrus fruit banquet. Finishes with a light hop bitterness that just says hi. The aftertaste really hits home it’s a combination of all the flavors with incredible balance, both refreshing yet a little heavier. In other words you’re in for a ride.

F: it feels refreshing at times, kicks you in the teeth a little when appropriate. Mild carbonation. Goes down real smooth. Complements the taste very well, which is extremely rare from my limited experience.

O: It’s definitely a polarizing ipa, but personally it almost brings a tear to my eye. I wouldn’t really call it hazy, it’s more of a citrusy unfiltered imperial IPA. I really wish it wasn’t a seasonal, a year ago I wouldn’t have ever dreamed of saying that about any IPA. If you like malty beer and/or orange juice this is the ipa for you.

TLDR: Zeuseidon is on the can how can you go wrong?!

....I am gonna revisit this but I think this is essentially another dud except for the can art. The best buy date is already a little over a month out and this JUST NOW came in. It's mid dude, it just is. It tastes like its on the back half of its life, and beyond that there's nothing there. I think maybe I just prefer this places' other styles. The hop build is even mildly unique but idk. Honestly the main thing is it tastes like there's a freshness issue.

Im blaming Superior distribution (Coors) for this honestly. I know now this been in a warehouse sitting. And I'm also blaming myself for not finding it fresher elsewhere. It's not fresh in the slightest plain and simple.

Dark copper colored with an inch of dense and creamy beige on top. Light lacing is present. The aroma is of citrus and tangerine. I’m tasting melon and tangerine. The mouth is sticky and dry.
