16 oz can. Drank one or two fresh and another couple over the next year and a few months. Dark pour, two finger, quickly dissipating head. Flavor is that of chocolate liqueur, some burnt wood notes, and vanilla extract. I can't say all these flavors blended together all that well. Kind of like clanging cymbals. Didn't improve with age. Just ok.

I tried this beer off the tapper at the brewery as part of a four sample flight whilst in Cleveland visiting the Rock and Roll HOF with my homie from FLO-Rida. It was a very good stout with bold vanilla presence. More a sipping beer with the high abv.

A soft white vanilla over light toasted dark malts on the nose. Giving way to light bourbon oak notes and a whiff of chocolate.
On the taste it's light but givings off a long linger toasted and roasted note. An easy drinker for 10.5 that excels on the finish while coming up a bit light up front.
THe mouth feel again is a touch light for the style but certainly not bad.
A wonderful beer but nothing exceptional. I think vanilla has tamed it a bit much.

From the 16 oz can in a snifter. This monster pours a brownish black with a
nice head of khaki foam that settles to a thick ring, thick layer, and sports some
nice lacing. Nose of vanilla, coffee, dark chocolate, and subtle dark berry notes.
Flavors hit the mark with vanilla dancing about dark bittersweet chocolate fudge,
dark coffee, and dark berry notes of blackberry and blueberry. Mouth feel is
medium full, smooth, rich, coating, medium light carbonation, and a nice
bitter malt finish.
Overall, a fantastic addition to the Great Lakes portfolio and
one that SHOULD be kept around!
Cheers
