Poured off the tap a slightly hazy straw color with a little white head that was retained well. Decent lacing. Grains and general fruit on the nose. Flavors were similar, biscuity malts and some fruit-like esters followed by a crisp hop finish. Good mouthfeel, creamy and soft for a medium body beer. Nice. A fine Kolsch in an out of the way place.

"Pilsen and Vienna malts, 100% German noble hops ...warm fermented ale."
*The recipe must have changed since the last review of this beer because this "Cat Paw Kolsch" is listed at 5.5% ABV with 29 IBUs.

Served in a pint glass.
Pours a cloudy golden color with a thin white head that dissipates quickly leaving very thin lacing. Lots of fruit on the nose with some strong wheat notes. A fruity/ apricot up front taste leads to a smooth lemony hop flavor that turns slightly bitter before the malt comes in to balance. Well carbonated, medium bodied, and refreshing, this is a very clean, crisp, drinkable beer.

Poured a medium straw hue with a two finger foamy white head. There was good retention and lacing.

The smell featured a subtle grain and a mild flowery hop aroma.

The taste was light and crisp. A good light biscuity backbone with hints of lemony hop bittering.

The mouthfeel was a bit chewy, which was a pleasant surprise.

Overall a very enjoyable Kolsch. It would make a nice summer session beer.
