Can to glass mug, the appearance was a nice looking dark amber close to brown color with a touch of transparency about it. A finger's worth of white foamy head sat atop the glass. The head dissipated finely to leave some light filmy lace.
The aroma had some sweet maple sap, super light roasty nuttiness with biscuity tones.
The flavor was moderately sweet pushing some of the brown ale notes out. Mostly a maple syrup-like aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was almost medium bodied, seemed to sit just a tad under yet had an exceptional sessionability about it. Carbonation felt good, somewhat low. ABV felt as projected. Mild finish of maple syrup.
Overall, nice maple syrup beer I'd be willing to come back to if they brewed it next Spring.
