Off the tap as always at this gem in Bristol, VT. This Belgian style strong ale was a clear copper color with a one finger tan head. Displayed broken lacing and decent retention. Aromas of caramel malt and spices. The first flavors that this beer hit me with were of semi-sweet malt and noticeable esters. The hops are quashed by the other aggressive flavors. Big mouthfeel of higher carbonation and medium/heavy body. Long finish with an alcohol nip at the end. Punchy.
