Beautiful 500ml bottle poured into a couple chalices.
a - pours a dark murky mahogany with a centimeter mocha head that dissipates
s - bourbon, vanilla, coffee and malt
t - much of the same as the smell. bourbon is the strongest flavor but it was by no means dominating. plenty of vanilla and coffee behind a malt backbone. tremendous balancing, possibly helped by a slightly lower abv for a bourbon barrel-aged stout
d - fizzy, lots of carbonation went great with the full body
o - i've never seen the bobcat do anything barrel-aged. this was aged for 8 months in bourbon barrels and the result was phenomenal. i was really impressed. very well balanced, easy drinking. could have easily taken a couple of these down.
