Rip off cap (I immediately lower my expectations). Five months before sell-by date.
33cl Stubbi bottle, poured in a pils glass.
As German pils go, not too bad (much better than my rip-off-cap expectations). Has a little hop 'herb' character at least. But definitely nothing special. A little cardboardy towards the finish, but thankfully this doesnt linger.

First saw and tried this beer at 'Green Week' in Berlin, Jan 2007. Enjoyed it so much I bought a bootle pack and glass.
Reality sets in once you are at home, I had been drinking round the world all day (green week is a food and drink international display fest), Poland, Ghana, Albania, Austria, the list is very long. This beer was no great shakes, now I try the bottles at home.
A 33ml brown, dumpy bottle, poured into its own vase glass, it looks just like the German pilsner it is, golden yellow, pale and with a white head, that doesn't last long.
Smells like a pilsner, or what a pilsner doesn't smell of. Nothing really, all pilsners have the same aroma, a bit of hops and barley at the most.
Dryish taste, but again a typical pilsner.
Dryness stays for a while, but nothing special.
A pilsner that doesn't stand out in any way at all, nothing bad, nothing exciting either.
