Olhão 21/7 2016. 50 cl can from Aldi. A big shield with what I presume is a German Emperor and a building I assume is his castle (poor bloke). All very uninspired ad stereotypically German.
Pours very pale yellow with a big white head. Settles slowly but end up as very thin layer of foam. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is quite sweet and malty. Some sour notes chiming in.
Soft carbonation and watery palate. Almost flat texture,
Flavor is very sweet as well. Something like burnt rubber in there. Quite unpleasant.
Not very good - but exactly what I expected.

This is an all-malt lager, served out of a can. It's a pale yellow-colored liquid with a soft white head (unfortunately, fairly poor retention). The brew smells of distant pale malts with German hops. It's a decent aroma, actually a little more appealing than expected. It does have a little musty, earthy tone as well, which adds something. The taste, though falls flat. Middle of the road between sweet and dry, the beer doesn't have much of a malt flavor. Nor does it have much of a hop character. It's not exactly watery, it's just ethereal and empty. The body is medium in heft, but flat and a little flabby. Not much to excite here. It's better than macro-swill, but disappointing on the whole.
