Pours a clear golden color with a medium white head that soon settles to only a small brim.
The aroma is very clean, malty and grainy.
The taste starts with a tiny bitterness. It is followed by a very decent and bitter body, concluding with a great and fresh finish.
As the lagers ago, this one is certainly among the best ones.

Presented in a tall 50cl green can, with a rounded shield-like crest, and a vaguely Roman amphora flanked by hop vines.

"Quality lager" it says. The ingredients are listed as "water, malt, CO2 and hops".

Yellow-gold super-clear body, with a fizzy layer of coarse bubbled film. The head is almost non-existent, and even when induced fizzles down to a vague ring of film very quickly. Lots of large bubbled carbonation. I have to say, the signs aren't good...

Vague fruit esters on the nose, perhaps pineapple and lemon. Hints of bread dough, yeast and selzer water. No hint of much hoppiness, besides the slight fruity note, but that could be the result of something else.

Taste is very bland. Here everything on the nose disappears apart from the yeast, which appears late on the back palate, and the selzer zing, which blasts your mouth on entry. Apart from that, it's almost tasteless, and only the vague bread yeast character reminds you you're drinking something fermented. Not a fan at all.

Not a great beer this one - another tasteless Middle Eastern beer to cater for the thirsty traveller, and those Muslims not devout enough to forswear alcohol. If all I had to drink was this, I'd probably give up on booze too.
