Online information indicates that the Petra lineup recently underwent a significant upgrade. They used to make nothing but strong lagers, but now make a stout, apa, kolsch, amber, hefeweizen and ipa under their Uber craft lineup.

From the bottle during a recent lunch outing in Madaba Jordan.
The beer pours a golden amber color with fairly good head retention and light lacing. On the nose, it's hard to believe this is really an ipa. The nose is very malt forward, with maybe a hint of grapefruit. Not getting much of anything else. On the palate, this berr is once again very sweet and malt forward. There is some light bitterness and grapefruit on the finish, but the sweet malt really dominates. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied, with noticeable alcohol on the finish. It's not very prominent, but coupled with the sweetness, it's a bit off putting. Drinkability is OK, but the beer became increasingly tiring to drink as it warmed.
Not a particularly outstanding ipa, but considering the brewery, this still qualifies as a pretty impressive effort. Probably still wouldn't order this again.
