Trent 15/7 2025. 50 cl bottle from Edeka, Ossenreyerstraße, Stralsund. Off-white label in the brewery’s usual design with the silhouette of a fortress in red and a skyline of a city.
Pours unclear, almost opaque, golden yellow with a big white head. Stable. Settles as a 4 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, malty odor mingling with a light scent of sour grains. Bread, cereal and pale malts. Sharp scent of grains.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undertone. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry.

My Expectations for a Beer from Rostock aren't that high to begin with, but the Zwickel couldn't even meet those.
