Maximilians Brauwiesen

This is a fun brewery located right on the Rhine. Besides a large beirgarten, they have a wonderful multiroom restaurant, bar area, sand volleyball pits and a great garden. It is not that old, but they have done a great job of reusing some sort of older industrial building.

It is popular so try and arrive at an off time or week day. popular with families, large groups and for events.

The beer was solid, I know they had a regular & dark lager, a wheat beer and a seasonal.

Food was very good and served at a leisurely pace. Service was German professional.

I was also able to hit the brewery and biergarten located directly across the Rhine. I walked from one to the other would have been much easier if I had a canoe : )

Maximilians Brauwiesen is authentic, rustic and full of flavor. Sit outside in the Bier garden overlooking the river Rhein (Koblenzer Brewery across) or go inside the Restaurant/Bar. Maximilians Brauwiesen is the place to go when you are in the Koblenz area. The beer and the food is very good.
