The head was thin on an intense dark color. The smell was greatly roasted, oscillating between coffee and chocolate. The taste showed coffee at first, but then I got more of an impression of cocoa. Some fruity notes of orange and cherry also appear, with an alcoholic character. This was actually fruitier than I expected, which I appreciated. The mouthfeel was round and full and quite interesting for a stout. The alcohol is not nearly as noticeable as it could be in a 10% beer: nice, and pretty drinkable.

Black color. Medium Head. Aroma is chocolate and coffee. Medium bodied Imperial Stout. Malts are choclately with a touch of coffee. Hops are drying and slightly spicy. This is really more of a dry stout than an imperial, the body is a little thinner and it finishes very dry. Smooth taste, with no touch of alcohol bite. Touches of wood and smoke at the finish, Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

On the pour a pitch-black color with a massive chocolate brown head that was creamy in consistency and as it eroded a nice sheet of lace formed upon the glass. Nose is coffee, rich sweet chocolate; quite pleasing to the nose as well as the eye, front is rich chocolate sweet malt with the top full and rich. Finish is moderately acidic and the hops powerful but pleasing to the palate, bitter-sweet chocolate dry aftertaste, a nice drinking stout
