I love the glorious golden color. Despite the viscosity, the head dissipated pretty quickly. Bright citrus front with european maltiness and slight banana. Hoppy finish made my arm hair stand. Lots of alcohol. Does this beer not come in bottles? No? What an honor to have had it.

Pours a nice golden color with a white head. Head foams down somewhat quickly and doesn't leave too much lacing behind. Nose is nice with apricot, citrus, lemon, and other unspecified stone fruits. A bit of residual sugars come through, but are more apparent in the flavor, which also adds in a bit more yeasty esters. Mouhfeel is moderate with pretty good carbonation. A fairly good American example of the style.

I was very surprised to see this on tap at amsterdam ale house in manhattan. It was very refreshing for a beer of this strength. Great golden color. Perfect carbonation. Great Belgian character. Overall another great one from twenty one a and another great Belgian style ale.

Poured from a 64oz growler into pint glass. I got the growler poured on tap from Superstar Beverage in North Babylon, NY
Appearance: Golden colour, nice thin white head.
Smell: Sweet & hoppy.
Taste: Like the smell, very sweet with some hops. The aftertaste has some bitterness and bite to it.
Mouthfeel: Extremely smooth. Nice and velvety. Some carbonation but not much.
Drinkability: Very drinkable. Not too much carbonation, goes down easy. Considering the ABV of the beer, it's taste is not as strong as I thought it would be. A very good beer, almost too good, especially after having a whole growler of this. Definitely a must have!

Poured from a 16oz. growler into a Blue Point snifter.
A: Aggravated pour yields a frothy, bubbly 2 finger white head with rather poor retention, dissipating into a thin white wisp quickly. True to its name, beer is a delicious clear golden color. Lacing is stringy and patchy with good stick and nice patterns.
S: Belgian yeast, cane sugar, apricot, lemon, and pineapple. Huge fruity bouquet and spiciness makes me doubt I'll get any type of bitterness in this one. Sweet and very appetizing.
T: Belgian yeast tang, sweet citrus, coriander and other floral esthers. Slight bitterness far off in the background probably from the yeast. Bready at points and spicy. Citrus is present throughout. Leaves a chewy, resiny sweet aftertaste that lingers just for a bit.
M: Light to medium bodied, well carbonated, coarse, and lively in the mouth. Finish is slightly messy with a slightly dry and lingering aftertaste.
D: I don't think I've ever come across a beer with a better and more suitable name than this one. Great color, good complexity, and an appropriate mouthfeel. This one suffers a little from being a style that just has an abundance of similar tasting beers and this doesn't really set itself apart. A solid offer nonetheless and in my opinion, one of the few winners from 21st Amendment.

On draft at The Waterfrony, Brooklyn, NY.
Poured a pale copper hue with a one finger foamy white head. There was decent retention and good lacing.
The smell featured a sweet malt and robust yeast ester.
The taste featured a sweet apple juice like malt with an earthy hop subtle ester. Finished sweet and a touch herbal.
The mouthfeel was full and coating.
Overall a flavorful ale. A bit unrefined in it's sweetness however.

Served in a tulip glass.
This is why I've grown to love ChurchKey: the bar "stools" are fully padded with armrests, and they always have some random awesome beers to try. Having never even heard of this guy, I quickly ordered a glass. It poured a clear golden yellow with about a thumb of thick white foam on top. Some very good lacing would soon be evident. The nose held notes of light citrus (with a decidedly hoppy character), decorative soap, coriander, yeast, and flowers. A generous amount of farmhouse-like funk (or some offshoot genre) came across on the tongue, along with some clove, banana, sweetgrass, and a light touch of peach. The body was lightly medium, with a light kiss of carbonation and a watery feel. Nicely, done, if I may say so (and I'm sure I may).

Tap, City Beer Store. Not bad exactly, but a fairly disappointing beer. This beer pours a relatively pale, translucent gold with an okay white head. The aroma started out mostly grassy, minerally hops (noble?) with a healthy dash of earth, which was fairly simple but ok. The flavor was mostly simple malt with some Belgian yeastiness. Not much going on and what was there didn't seem quite right. As the beer warmed, a lot of booziness came out and the beer really started smelling and tasting like a bit of a mess. The thin, almost watery body certainly didn't help things. Again, this wasn't terrible. There were no glaring problems, but it just didn't work for me.

A - Golden with slight straw color. Little head / carbonation. Looks like an appealing golden Belgian pale.
N- Not a lot
T-Caramel and malty. Very strong malt backbone as expected. Slight hint of apple. rolls around tongue nicely. Minor bitterness
M-filling and quite drinkable.

32 ounce growler pour from DeCiccio's in Ardsley, NY. Pour very clear, with bubbles lazily continuing to rise to the top. Moderate near white head that stays, goes to a minor film and leaves better the average sticky fine sheeting and well developed lace. I get a whiff of apple juice, Belgian yeast, coriander, pepper and spiced up phenolic notes. Love the style, so deal with my bias. Clean, crisp and tasty, more coriander, bananas, Belgian yeast, light pepper, honey, light lime and quite drying and (again) crisp hops in the finish. Yum, yes simply yum. Bring on the BBQ, Indian food, Thai food, cheese, bread and salads. This went well with some stinky blue cheese, cutting right through the flavor onslaught and cleansing the palate. Glad to be able to get a nice sample of this one, hope/wish/pray it stays around for a while.

Poured a clear gold with a 1 finger white head that lasted and leaves good lacing.
Smells of yeast, sweet malt, lemon, coriander, honey, light spices and caramel. Pretty nice nose, but not a strong aroma.
Tastes of sweet malt, yeast, lemon, coriander, grass, honey, light spices, pepper, floral hops, caramel and skunky grains, that are funky yet delicious. Very complex, with a nice balance of sweet malt, spices and potent hops; very tasty brew that's light and crisp.
Mouthfeel is creamy, with very little to no carbonation and a dry sweet pucker to finish.
Very drinkable and refreshing, will seek this out again. This beer was very easy to drink and enjoyable.

This beer surprised the crap out of me...Oh My God it is GOOD! Forget what everyone else on this site is saying, I had this on tap and its excellent. Probably the best beer from this brewery I've ever had -- and I like this brewery.
Beer i bright yellow and completely clear. Thin white head that leaves some lacing and the carbonation is steady but low.
Yeasty / bready aroma with some nice estery spice to the whole thing. Medium body and an appropriate dry finish to this beer. Low carbonation was a good choice (although that might be the bar's fault) and wow, just a nice connectivity. I could drink this all night long. Check it out on draft if you have the chance.

Poured a clear golden with good carbonation and a small white head.Nose is sweet, belgian yeast, floral. Taste is very sweet, foral, fresh honey perhaps, belgian yeast, tinge of booze. Felt really good. Hops, sweetness and goes down very smooth, easy with booze. Not overbearing but I thought it was very tasty and probably one of my favorites of the style.
