Frothy tan foam gets up all over the glass over the darkened brown body. Soft foamy and dense nose exudes a toasty oat flour flavor -- restrained but potent.
Rich raspberry dark chocolate truffle in the mouth -- rich, bitter, and bodiful -- yummy. Super clean finish (chico yeast) adds lots to the drinkability of this well-disguised high ABV brew. Salty edges. Feels like an amber in its mellow bitterness and light toastiness. Balanced and clean. Doesn't jump out of the glass at you, but tastes and feels of balance and quality. Good stuff from the 21A. Congrats on the 300th batch.

This beer is a deep copper color and was topped by a thinnish off white head. Lacing was in thin attractive rings. Very malty nose and taste, Scottish leanings for sure. Lots of caramel malt, Styrian and Goldings hops are used. A good hop presence does manage to break throught the solid malt backbone. Very flavorful and drinkable. Did not feel the 7.5% abv at all. I liked this beer, and most who savor strong ale should like it as well.
