Tap at the brewery. Dark brown color with a tan head. Aroma of sweet malt, roast, and chocolate. Flavor is roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, and a somewhat hoppy finish. Seemed like more than 28 IBUs. Palate pretty standard for the style.

Had on tap at the brewery.
This was an average American porter. Poured a dark brown, almost black color. Tasted of toasted malt. However, it missed on mouthfeel, and tasted and felt too watered down. This is a good beer to enjoy while eating and conversing, but you can turn your brain off while consuming (i.e. no reason to sip or savor).

Paired this with the 'Jerk Chicken.' Poured with a decent head, a deep dark black stout with pretty good lacing down the glass. Plenty of roasted malts in aroma, with coffee and chocolate undertones. Good roasted malt front, heavy on the coffee undertones, chocolate to follow. Finishes a little sweet actually. Good body, slightly carbonated, mostly smooth. Overall, a pretty good porter, and paired with the 'Jerk Chicken' makes an excellent dinner.
