Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewing Co pint glass

A: Pours slightly hazy golden orange amber with a frothy beige head that settles to a nice layer and leaves some light lacing.

S: Candied fruit, orchard fruit and melon with some tropical hints, a little citrus, a bit floral, earthy herbal notes, slightly toasty bready malt, and a touch of honey sweetness.

T: Uniquely fruity, candied melon, pear, apricot, papaya, and a hint of dragon fruit trying to poke through, a little citrus, lime, lemon, and orange, slightly floral, big earthy herbal tea like notes on the back end, slightly toasty bready malt, and honey sweetness.

M: Medium body, moderate carbonation.

O: Interesting idea. That said, there are so many things vying for attention that it all kinda cancels out and nothing shines. Sorry, not big on this one.

This is an collaboration beer brewed by 21st amendment and 'east bay brewers' from Bay Area Brewer's Guild for SF Beer Week, sold by the can. Poured a nice wheaty gold with lasting lacing. Aroma hoppy for a pale ale and taste with a nice hint of fruit followed, and somewhat buried by, the hops - Warrior, Dry Hop:calypso, El dorado, and lemon drop (thanks to info on can). At 45IBUS this could just as well be listed as an IPA. I would have liked a subtler bittering to let more fruit come through, but otherwise really well balanced and worth the exploration.
