Review dated 2/15/2009.
On tap at 21A for Strong Beer Week. A nice imperial pils, falls just short of Port Brewing’s Panzer in my opinion, but it’s a similar beer. Golden-straw color with a nice white head. Grassy hop aroma. Flavor is lots of pale malt, good grassy hops to balance, and a little graininess. Nice fairly full mouthfeel for the style.

Had this on-tap as part of Strong Beer Month 2009.
A - Poured a medium orange color, good (but not great) clarity. Formed a thin white head that left a nice lacing as I made my way through the beer.
S - The most prominent aroma was of a pilsner graininess. Floral hops were present but not as intense as the malt.
T - Pilsner grains, light sweetness, mild crisp hop character. Bitterness was moderate. Finished dry with a lingering malt flavor.
M - Medium bodied with a moderate-low level of carbonation. Felt like it could use more carbonation.
D - Yes, sir. This was an easy-drinking beer. I had some obligations after my visit to the pub else I'd have loved another pint. Dangerously smooth and drinkable at its ABV level. Get it while you can!
