This is an excellent, balanced, very flavourful IPA in the East Coast (as advertised) or English tradition with strong hoppy character yet restrained bitterness.
Deep, bright red, it has a medium, pale tan head that sdoon thins to a faomy ring and leaves frequent but weak, thin lace.
The aroma is juicy and citrusy, malty, toasty, with plum and hints of earth, leaf and yeast. It has clear English adn American qualities in the hops, but plenty of malt and hop.
The taste is similar, juicy and zesty with citrus (leaning to orange), a little leafy, earthy and slightly yeasty in an English manner, with lightly caramelly, toasty, fruity malty sweetness. The bitterness just dominates by the finish and leafy bitterness lingers in the aftertaste, over light, fruity malty sweetness.
