Clear, amber color with a big, ivory head. Malt, dried fruits, caramel, figs in aroma. Sweet but not cloying. Good beer, but lacks some real Quadruple charm.

 

 

 

Decent quad has notes of fruity esters, dark fruits, some candied sugars and just a twang of alcohol in the finish. Can be sipped or drank fast just can't seem to find much of it in my area has to go to Swissvale to pick up a single.

12 oz can into a pint glass. Freshness dating is hard to figure out, but maybe best by 9/24/19.

Nice clear copper/amber body with a small white head dissipating to a ring and solid covering, leaving some nice lacing.

A faint sweet toffee aroma

Upon tasting, it is a sweet, candy, boozy, toffee taste. Pretty chewy and warm. There are some dried fruit notes, but the booze is the big story here.

Mouth between medium and full, finish a sweet warm booziness.

Overall, not the best quad in the world, but certainly worth buying a four pack

 

Clear orangey brew with plenty of foam in the chalice. Sudsy mouthfeel and quite a tingle on the tongue, between the alcohol and the sharp carbonation. Powerful nose of fruity esters but not so much yeast in the taste. Tastes of pear nectar and carrot juice with a dash of dried fig.

Sweet but acidic for a tipsy balance. Long fruity nose with the dry Belgian finish. Intriguing brew that wags its own tail and possibly yours. From the 12 oz can purchased at Healthy Spirits.

Pours hazy dark reddish-brown with a short off-white head. Minimal lacing.
Complex, slightly earthy, aroma with a fair amount of alcohol over spices, dried fruits and breads. The taste deserves a similar description, but it is better, brighter and sweeter than the aroma suggests.

Pours a wonderful, fluffy, creamy, full head into my tulip, just off white in color. Body is an odd tea-like color, brown with hues of orange. Visibility is very low. Head retention is far above average. This looks very nice so far.

The first thing I notice on the nose is how dry it is compared to some quads I've had in the past; perhaps I've gotten the wrong impression of how they should be, because it's hard to argue with the way this smells. Clove and some light fruity esters are present. No alcohol to speak of, impressive. A little sweet on the nose, but again, quite dry overall. The sweet aromas are honestly more from the esters than the malts, the malts smell relatively light in residual sugars, despite what the can insinuates. This smells really nice. For being a beer that I'm sure has a diabetic kick to it, it comes across very dry and sessionable, with nice belgian notes.

Yea this is a damn good beer. Alcohol is noticeable, but just barely, not invasive at all. Very sessionable, dry. Nice notes of clove and fruity esters. I mean it’s a little sweet, but again, very good attenuation. Not a super complex flavor, nor is it bursting with flavor; still, it's a nice flavor and I'm very impressed with how crisp, sessionable, and light this is for 9 percent.

The mouthfeel is quite nice as well. Carbonation is medium, aids to the crisp feel. Body is surprisingly light, again, works well here. A small alcohol tinge, but it seriously has no impact on the drinkability. Dry, no sugars sticking to my mouth. Very nice mouthfeel.

The drinkability is very high for a 9% beer, and honestly just in general. It drinks like a light beer.

The appearance turned out reaaaally lovely. Head retention was very good, lasting for minutes, leaving a nice initial lacing. The lacing lasted down the glass in a pretty thick fashion.

Overall, what more to say? Good flavors, sessionable, light, and crisp, viola!

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a dark honey color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of dark fruits, spices. Taste is alcohol, malts, sugar, spices, gets sweeter as it warms. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall is decent, but a bit to sweet for my liking.

 

 

 

 

 

Pours a pretty chill hazed amber with a beige head that leaves frosty lacing on the sides of the glass. Aroma is bready malt, candy apple fruitiness, banana & clove. Taste is similar with more bitterness than Belgian quads. Sweet with prominent alcohol. The sweetness is a mite too heavy & slightly cloying. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation, slick, oily & mouth coating with warmth & a peppery prickle. A nice American craft brewery twist example on an Old World brew.
