On-tap at 21A
A: The pour is an extremely murky copper color with a white head and some sticky lacing.
S: The nose starts off with citrus hops followed quickly by sweet caramel malts and a bit of candi sugar. Some semi-sweet oranges and grapefruit peel as well as a lot of spicy esters.
T: A decent citrus/grapefruit bitterness and hop flavor up front. Moderately sweet with a big-time yeast flavor on the aftertaste. There's something very grassy and herbal about this beer too, almost like eucalyptus.
M: The body is medium to full and the carbonation is moderate.
D: Supposed to be a "Belgian Imperial IPA". Certainly quite Belgian, but I don't get too much of an Imperial IPA character. At least there's not too much alcohol presence, but this wasn't exactly super drinkable.
