750ml bottle picked up in Paris for only 4 euro. Poured into my Supra tumbler, La Rebelle is a clear light caramel color with an off-white head, leaving scattered lace.
Smell is nice, moderate strength caramel malt, with a very light hint of lime.
Taste is pretty classic biere de garde, some caramel maltiness, leafy hops and a touch metallic. Moderate intensity, with a sweet, caramel aftertaste, but never cloying.
Mouthfeel is spritzy and light, a bit crisp but still some melanoidins provide body.
Drinkability is high, as this is a very tasty biere de garde, value priced and quaffable.

Beautiful looking beer, the cork pops off like a champagne bottle and it pours with a mountain of smooth creamy white head on top of a lightly orange clear gold color. Head sits around forever and leaves beautiful sticky lacing.
Smells like a typical dry Belgian blonde. Some sweet malty bread, but not too sweet. Musty cellar and a touch of spice in there. Good but not great.
Tastes like a sweet semolina bread with some spicy and floral hops behind it, then a toasty nutty side before finishing with a very satisfying dry tug at the back. The yeast notes remind me of one of my other local Biere de Garde favorites, the 3 Montes. It's got a clean lagery nutty feel with some interesting vegetable esters going on.
As the beautiful head foretold, this beer is luxuriously smooth and sits right in that sweet spot of body and carbonation. It's definitely got more oomph behind it that most similar blonde beers.
I'm impressed with De Milly so far. Very subtle but accomplished beers that toe the line of their style but execute the mouthfeel perfectly in particular.

Hrmph, this beer is just among the level of most french beers that look rather promising.
Pours a reddish golden tone with little white head, boo-hoo style smell with no charm to it aside from a soury malty perception. The taste is equally disappointing giving a mediocre mass lager tastelesness complimented by a rather faint sweetness that isnt proper for the beer anyways. This all drives it right down the throat or the drain indistinctively.
