On tap at the Grittys in Freeport Maine.

Pours clear golden yellow, completely see through. Nary a touch of foam is observed in my pour.

Grainy clean smell. Nothing much doing.

Taste is very plain - like a light beer without those pesky corn adjuncts. A bit watery. Very low, if any, carbonation.

Certainly easy to drink, though not very impressive. Much better brews on tap for you to choose from here.

Off the tap this pint was a light gold/amber color with a very thin head. The lacing was actually decent but no more than that. The aroma was light and nothing but grainy. The flavors were the same, lots of dry grains and a slightly crisp finish provided by the bleached hops. Just too washed out in general for me to say much more beyond that. The light body, carbonation and watery mouthfeel did not help. Why?

Light gold (straw color?) with a small foamy head that was extremely thin.

I was surprised by the amount of lacing that was left behind for such a light and thin beer.

Didn't really see any visible carbonation to speak of.

Taste was nothing to write home about. Not sure why I'm writing here, but it's hopefully to save you a couple dollars.

Mouth feel was literally as thin as water.

Wow, can you describe a lack of taste?
Well,here goes.

There really was no taste of substance. Especially up front. Seriously, your first thought was of water, then there was a slight hop flavor and a bready finish.

All of the flavor at the end.

I suppose they make this for those who are on training wheels when it comes to micro-brews.

Not my cup of tea or beer, for that matter.

Stay away from this one.

Not a bad beer. I should mention that the waitress at Gritty’s in Auburn said that it was light in alcohol only, and tasting it, I’d have to say thats correct. Lighter flavor than some (like the Best Bitter I had before this one) but flavorful and well-balanced nonetheless. Hops dominate, but do not overpower, as there’s enough of a malt sweetness backbone to support it. Rather good, I’d definitely have this one again!

The beer is a pale golden color, topped with a thick ring of white head. Decent retention, maintaining through the glass, with some quickly rising carbonation bubbles escaping to the top.
Aroma is mainly a corny pale maltiness. Very light and airy, with mild herbal hopping, and touch of fruitiness. Some graininess.
Flavor is light, yet more than i expected. Extremely light body, sort of like a weak blond or golden ale. Some light corny malt in the beginning, with a touch of yeast, fading into a thin middle with the barest touch of floral esteriness. Mild hopping takes up the rear, with an english sort of hoppiness that doesn't seem to fit in with the pilsnery feel of the beer.
More flavorful than i expected, especially for a light beer, but nothing I'd go and buy again. Kind of a pilsner ale kind of beer, very light, and lacking the crisp cleanliness and spicy hop snap of a pils. Very easy drinking, with effervescent carbonation. It doesn't really taste like much, but i guess that's the point.
Definitely something great for your average Bud or Coors drinker, and certainly a step up.
