Cask pour served in a shaker pint, the beer is a slightly hazed, copper gold coloring with a frothy, big bubbled, off-white head of a solid inch. Aromas of toffee sweetness and subtle hints of wood. Slightly muddled nose. Flavors are richly sweet, with a toffee and caramel blend that is slightly cloying, with a hops bitterness that undercuts the end of the palate and dries into the aftertaste. Oily and slick feel, the beer has a tangy sweet and bitter blended aftertaste, with a dry, slightly lingering finish. This one is a bit of a mess.
