Brownish orange with small head, good lace. Fresh, pungent grassy hops are the name of the game. There is a good base maltiness here which is typical of Bank Street and quite distinctive. A very tangy bite comes from the marriage of hops and malt, reminiscent of the best Oktoberfest biers. There are some fruit qualities present here, but mostly grains and grass. Appetizing, balanced, drinkable. Me like. One of Bank St's best beers, and your non-BA friend will like it too (unless he's a complete pussy, then give him the Greenwich Light).
5/13 a new batch, not nearly as hoppy. Malts take on a dark woody tone, almost pulpy; not refined and not as successful.
