Crisp, clean, flavorful and refreshing, Knoxville's Downtown Brewery hits the fall season in stride. Caught somewhere between marzen and red ale, the brewery's colors are changing just like the leaves on the tree.

Deep golden, light amber and pouring with a color similar to honey, Autumn Amber floats a creamy, ivory froth ahead of a soothingly sweet scent of toast, honey, nuttiness and a mild floral hop note. Soft and sweet on the palate, the flavors of bread crust, light caramel and candied pecan register quickly, only to be followed up by a woodsy hop bitterness with an herbal mint finish.

Refreshing and flavorful, the beer drinks with the sensibility and dryness of lager, and similar to their altbier, but is a welcoming beer for the fall season.
