05/09/07- Had on tap at Bitter Root Brewing In Hamilton. MT.

Presentation- From the tap into two 4oz samplers.

Appearance- Deep brown in color with a light 1/4 inch head. A tad murky from yeast sediment. Patchy lacing left behind.

Smell- Notes of various dark fruits (plums, figs and raisins). Fairly deep malt nose as well. Nice.

Taste- Wow, the fruit comes out big time in this brew. Almost just as much as in any dubbel I've tried. Lots of raisins and prunes to go along with the assertive malt.

Mouthfeel- Lower carbonation, lightly creamy and a nice fruity aftertaste.

Drinkability- Props to Bitter Root for a great try at a belgian style. Two thumbs up.
