Smooth and malty traditional Oktoberfest brewed with just enough hops for a malt/hop balance.

thanks to ivanwho and noob bif round 2 for this one.
poured cold from the bottle a dark and murky caramel to copper to a sun king shaped pint glass with a wispy, short lasting off white head that leaves quickly fading lace.
rich, malty aroma, toffees and caramels, a hint of hops in the wayback.
rich and sweet, malty, hints of spice.
big to medium bodied, medium carbonation, slick and sweet.
drinkable - sure.
nothing too special, but a good brew.

22 picked up tonight at Brewforia.... Grudgingly paid $6. Poured into my Old Guardian goblet.
nice 1" lite tan head... the brew is polished amber.... good lacing.
nose is pretty traditional... clean toasty malts... not much else as it should be.
just enough bitterness to balance a fairly rich toasty malt profile... hops are present as a mild spicy element... again very clean.... surprisingly so...
Medium bodied with medium small bubble carbonation ... sorta creamy..
Very well done... I wish more American breweries would bust out lagers.. I am surprised to see Bitter Root doing them and not surprised at all, that they do it well... this is a very underrated brewery.... Maybe it is time to send some bottles round the country :-)

Yeah, another one that I get to put into the system. Poured into a pint glass at 42 degrees.
Appearance: A nice one finger light tan head that is foamy and creamy, the retention is fair descent. The body of the beer is a medium mahogany color with reddish brown copper highlight. The is a little bit of effervescence in the beer. The clarity of the beer is clear.
Nose: A nice rich malty aroma with some toasted elements.
Taste: A medium toasted malty flavor with some hop bitterness. The floral and wood elements, adds a spicy character.
Overall: The mouth feel is clean, medium carbonation, and smooth. The body of the beer is medium and the finish is clean. The only down side that I have to this beer is the depth of the malts is not there. This is a very good Oktoberfest. I am very pleased to drink this.
