Growler from Bitter Root a while ago... Reviewed from paper notes.
Pours deep dark brown... not exactly black.. dark tan head lasts forever with great lacing.
The nose is like a "whole milk" mocha.... tons of coffee and dark chocolate.. You can smell the milk sugars... smells creamy.
Flavor has deep slightly astringent coffee with plenty of lactose sweetness... a bit of bittersweet cocoa adds to the layers of complexities..
Probably the "milkiest" stout I've had .. and it definitely works... I shared the growler with the RB folks and they agreed... This is good and should be brewed regularly.
