Beer was had on-tap at the District Chophouse. It was a good example of an "extra-IPA", and probably the last time it will be brewed due to the turnover of the head brewer, Jason Dorphinghouse.
Brew was served in a clear pint glass; it was nice, rich amber with very little head. Appears to be an unfiltered brew. Good hoppy-sweet smell. Lots of hops at the fist bite. (I think the board said it was brewed with Amarillo?) Beer had a single, strong hop note running through it, hinting that it was indeed brewed with only one major hop. Good mouthfeel, and a very quaffable brew. This beer falls right in-between a regular IPA and a Double. Not bad considering the brewmaster was a self-indicted malt-head!
