This was listed on the chalk board at a Belgian triple called Apocolypse. The beer was served in a tulip glass and had a nice yellow/golden body with a slight white head. The nose was a bit spicey and sugary at the same time. The taste was of spice, cloves maybe, and some fruit notes mixed with some malty sweetness. The waiter told me that the abv of this was 9% but it was not very noticable as the taste masked the abv well. Overall it was a pretty enjoyable beer and a good representation of the style.

Served in a half pint tulip glass, this beer had a clear darkish gold appearance with a very small head that diminished quickly. Aroma was sweet, malty and a little spicy. Taste had that definite Belgian character to it- candi sugar, spicy, yeasty, cloves and some banana-like fruitiness. This beer was medium bodied, but seemed a little thin and just didn't have that much going for it. I've had better and I've had worse.

Served in a tulip at the brewery. Poured a pink tinged orangish yellow with very little head or lacing. Just a thin ring. Yeast and phenols on the nose.
Messy mix of flavors here. Phenols were very pronounced, with the same bubblegummy mix that one gets with their weizenbock. The sugary yeasty flavor in the background was more akin to homebrew. Finished too sweet with a bit of alcohol bite. Though it was nice to see a brew pub around these parts branch out a bit, this one was off. I had originally thought that they poured the wrong beer.

Served in a small 6 ounce glass. Orange / yellow in color with only a surface head. Little lacing. Aroma consisted of a pleasant combo of bread, yeast, alcohol, and citrus.
The flavors seemed a bit off balanced, at the yeast tones were quite strong and the citrus tones quite sharp. Alcohol and caramel are all over this. There was a bit of earthiness / grassiness to it also. Some spices arrived late in the taste just as you swallow.
Mouthfeel was mildly crisp. Yeast and alcohol tones last long into the finish. Medium bodied. Nice attempt for this style at a restaurant like this where you expect only pale ales and stouts. It just needs a little tweeking to get this more balanced.
