This beer is brewed to raise funds for local charities, as $0.50 per pint goes into the pot. I believe this is the second year it was brewed.
Appearance: The pint arrived looking a slightly hazy dark copper color with a short 1/2" head. Some mild lacing developed during the session.
Smell: The aroma was faint as some light toffee was picked up by the nose.
Taste: The flavor had a mild maltiness to it, as toffee, a hint of nuts, a dash of pepper, and a little bitterness rounded it out.
Mouthfeel: lightly crisp at the start and smooth at the finish. The aftertaste was pretty clean, only a brief lingering toffee tone lasts a second or two.
Drinkability: A defintie session beer, and brewed to appeal to a large audience since this geared towards raising funds. Not great, but have a pint for a good cause.
