Little Creatures, one of Australia's original craft breweries. This is their XPA, a popular style of Pale in Australia.
Vessel: 375ml can, Sky Blue design with the classic Winged cherub. Best Before is 16/11/2022, so it's over a year since the BB. A bit worrying.
Appearance: Pale Hazy Light Golden, very similar to that of a Coopers Pale Ale. Head does disappate rather quickly.
Aroma: Bright bitter pine notes, alongside sweet tropical fruits like mango and passionfruit. Sweet pale bisuity malt.
Taste: Sweet biscuity malt, pine and fruit flavours are there, but heavily subdued compared to the nose. Quite sweet overall.
Feel: Thinish and highly drinkable.
Overall: Disappointing the strength of the aroma doesnt follow through really with the taste. It's a nice beer, but the overall flavour could be more prominent. Although I will say that the beer is over a year out of Best Before date, so that might be the reason. One to re-review perhaps.

From the Boozebud Advent Calendar 2022 day 23. Drunk in April 2023.
L: Dark straw-yellow, medium haze, with very small bubbles rising to the top in massive flocks of carbonation. There's a quickly diminishing, bright-white head that leaves lots of lacing down the glass.
S: Mildly dank, mildly tropical hop notes. Otherwise clean and pretty neutral.
T: Tropical hop notes as per the nose, tending towards the papaya, peach and canteloupe end of the spectrum. Mild bitterness. Quite refreshing. Definitely easy-drinking.
M: Quite prickly on the tongue and throat but counterintuitively also quite full and thick in the mouth. Suits the beer well.
O: This is a nice, easy-drinking XPA, a good next step for those branching into craft after the initial foray into the faux craft, more gentle offerings, from the other big houses.
Cheers!

Pale yellow, crisp and clear with little carbonation, and a finger of white head.
Smells of tropical fruit.
The taste is rich in dank, green hops, bursting with papaya, mango, jackfruit and pineapple.
Medium, light body that makes you feel like its a higher abv than it is.
Excellent and rich tasting brew.
