A stout in every sense of the word the ‘Ancient Traveller Ethiopian Black Barley Stout’ presents wonderfully in the glass, black with ruby red highlights. As the beer slowly warms aromas of earthy Fuggle hop present themselves underpinned by notes of licorice and tobacco. The taste of flavours from the Ethiopian black barley come to the fore with a delicate balance of roasted barley and chocolate working in concert with a balanced, yet assertive, bitterness and a well rounded soft mouthfeel.

A - Pours a dark Cola colour with a Beige head that dies quickly and laces
S - Roasted malts, sweet caramel sugars
T - Molasses with malts aftertaste,
M - Way too thin for a beer of this kind, carbonation is OK
