A medium-bodied, robust brown ale with a warm maltiness. This brown ale is on the dryer/bitter side with no residual sweetness.

I brought back a couple growlers from a trip this weekend. This one leaked a bit when put in the fridge so I decided to open it asap(sorry Wes and Adam.)
Pours a dark brown with a creamy tan head.
Smell: Crystal Malt, Caramel, Chocolate, with a little Fruitiness.
Taste: Toasted Biscuit, Caramel, Chocolate, Medium Bodied and refreshing after all of the walking around in the hot weather.

Originally reviewed March 25, 2005. On tap at the brewpub. Clear deep sienna color, with diminished heard. Decent ether profile in aroma. Tastes like sheep barn at a county fair, with really strong oats. Interesting, but I dont quite know what to make of it. Musty finish. Strong oak palate. Smooth finish. Burnt malt smack.
