Got in a sampler and decided to bring a growler home. It was a toss up between this and the Redbrick Rye. Menu states it's a dark ale showcasing chocolate malt, I believe it was about 6.5%.
Pours and dark brown with a red hue around the edges and a small tan head.
Smell: As expected, plenty of Chocolate, a bit Crystal Malt.
Taste: Roasted Coffee, Bitter Chocolate, Caramel, Biscuit. Medium bodied and Dry. The finish gets a bit sweeter and it definitely gets better as it warms.
I was pretty impressed with both the food and the beers and the Library.
