Served as part of a sampler tray at their brewery. This was a very nice beer overall and the only one I asked for a second glass of. Deep amber brown with cherry red highlights, A small but creamy head of foam topped this brew off. The aroma gives off some pleasantly sweet caramel notes. The taste is fine with a firm malt body that is very smooth and buttery on the palate. Theres a nice roasted nutty quality here. The body is light to medium in malt texture. Overall, this was my favorite beer of the day. Flavorful with a pleasing bitterness left on the tongue. Very much drinkable.

One of the few good beers from here (in my opinion)pours more of a copper color with a reddish tint to it,aroma grassy and sweet a telling sign of a nicely banced beer.Taste hits with a nice firm malty nutty flavor to start with a zesty hop taste that hits towards the finish.A real nicely well made beer flavorful and balanced, good job.

Reddish copper color. Spicy/citrus hoppy on the nose. Full bodied taste, grainy for the most part with a heavy dose of cascade hops in the middle palate trailing off with tingling spice. Very slight roast malt character sneaks in there somethwhere as well. I rather big American ale with lots of character. Well constructed no doubt.
Probably the best standard brew Valley Forge offers.
