Appears a reddish tone of black with a one finger tan head. This brew is tough to see through and it's hard to see any carbonation but if you hold it just right, you can see some small bubbles making their way up to the top. Nice, beautiful lacing holds tight throughout the entire duration.
The smell is that of chocolate malts with a feint hint of cherry in the background.
Taste is that of an American stout with a touch bitter chocolate and following a nice mildly sweet black cherry finish. The mouthfeel is super smooth and manages to hit most of the spots in the mouth. Finishes semi dry with that hint of cherry. Nice. Carbonation comes through nicely from the first sip to the finish. This one is nice and drinkable. At 5.3%, I could drink a pitcher of these by myself and feel awfully good. Good work, Ryan!
Finger licking good!
