What's this you say? A new IPA is on cask at the General? Giddyup. This one was a dark orange/amber colour with a nice head of foam for a cask pour. The cascading effect of a great glass of real ale is truly a thing to behold. Anyway. This one has very fresh leafy hop aromas that seem UK and US based in origin. I'm not sure of the hopping on this one, but it almost smells like something like Centennial or Cascade was used in unison with some sort of Goldings or Fuggles. The taste delivers the hop goods, big-time!, but the malting is also very evident, biscuity and full of character. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, cask goodness and the drinkability is great as well. One of my favorites since my first vist, the General just keeps getting better and better. What with their vintage bottle list, new recipes, and great cask brews like this they are truly a great establishment.

Pours a nice copper color with a medium head that leaves some serious lacing, aroma is zesty hop and citriusy. This beer is definantly dry hopped very piney and zesty but there is a malty backbone so its not to hop overpowering,if you are hophead you will love this beer.It is pretty drinkable for being so over the top.
