A light, easy dinking, slightly malty ale. Quite a smooth thirst quencher for the hot summer months. Light yellow in appearance, not much of a nose..I bought a growler to take home to enjoy. I would recommend this beer to anyone, low ABV at 4.8%, and easily enjoyable.

A: Pours a pale, clear gold with a thin foamy white head that soon disappeared.
S: On the nose was light bread, a nice maltiness and some fresh flowery hops.
T: light bread notes, fresh noble flowers and some light underlying fruitiness. There was some honeymalt and a touch of yeastiness. Finishes very clean with traces of fresh flowery hops a good light drink.
M: crisp, light and softly carbonated.
D: a moderate drink, slightly above average overall.

Served as a bright golden color beer with moderate white puffyb head. Smell is very minmal with only a slight sweet maltiness present. Taste matches the smell with a slight sweet maltiness. Slight bit of summer fuit notes also present. Finish is very understated, with only a slight sweetness prresent. Very easy to drink, but nothing out of the ordinary.

This beer came a dark gold amber with some slight strawberry highlights. The head was a creamy sustained film that left a light lacing.
Smelled of light doughy and pasty malts with hints of rhubarb and honey.
Tasted of a light tingly base of strawberries, rhubarb and honey with a tingly sour, under-ripe fruit in the finish along with a little bittering, woody hops.
The mouth feel is light, crisp and clean.
Nice. This ones a fantastic summer session beer.

Sure, this is the beer the bartender recommends for people who come in and say they don't like "dark beer," or who ask what brew is like Miller Lite. Don't let that fool you--this is a good beer, brewed without compromise or concessions to the macro crowd. The beer is straw-colored...so light that you don't expect as much flavor as you're going to get.
The predominate flavor is biscuity, with fruit tastes (particularly black raspberries and cherries) rising to the surface as you drink more. There's also a nice, slightly dry, hops taste throughout. There's a fair amount of flavor and complexity. It's drinkable because you'll want more, not just because it goes down easily (which it does). The mouthfeel is fuller than you'd expect judging by the brew's light, thin appearance.
Kudos to General Lafayette for making their crossover beer worth drinking even for us beer geeks.

As my local watering hole, "the blonde" as it is affectionatley named by the regulars, is the most drinkable, tasty Kolsh I have ever drank. I think this is the session beer at this bar as many patrons appeared to be tossing them back rather quickly on a recent Friday night excursion.
This beer fights between being the go to for people looking for something easy to drink, and providing the rest of us with a nice bitter, crisp window into old German craftmanship. Though I have a tough time sticking with one beer, I could drink this all night and use a 10 oz. in the morning to chase away the hangover!

Nice brw. quafable, refershing, and solid, another in the vien of "great, good, but not mazing"
Nice golden color. Solid matly nose, fully white head that dissaptes qickly and leaves little to no lacing
Very dry, malty flavor. The slight hop presence is there, but only as an after thought. Malt dominates this brew, whether it be the nice upfront, biscuity taste, or the sweetneed, yet slighty bitter finih.
The light mouth feel adds volumes to the drinkablity. All in all a nice sloid beer. good for any time of year

Appears a light golden with a small white head that soon leaves. Not a whole lot of lacing left behind in the glass.
Smell is of sharp hops with a bit of malts mixed in there.
Taste is pretty decent. Light bodied with a mild biscuity malt flavor with a nice hoppiness that runs across the tongue. Slightly fruity and piney with a touch of citrus.
Mouthfeel is light and slightly watery but definitley ok. Nice flavor that makes for a decent summer session brew.
It's ok, dog.

Very pale golden with a nice white head of fluffy foam. The aromas are simple but awesome. Nice german hops, and toasty malts blend together to make a beer that is similar to many light beers yet distinctly German as well! The taste is slightly dry with a nice biscuity malt flavor and a slight hoppiness as well. The mouthfeel is quite light and the drinkability is good as well...

The beer pours a very pale gold color with a frothy white head that fades to lacing. The aroma is decent, but not spectacular. It boasts of pale malts, German hops, and lager yeast. The taste is good. It has a fruity banana type taste to it. It's light and refreshing. The mouthfeel is good. It is a low bodied beer with good carbonation. This is a fine lager. This isn't my style, but it drinks well.

The beer I had was called germantown Blonde, though I felt it was more like a Kolsch than a Helles Lager. If it was truly a lger than I though it was too fruity, but nontheless, I thought it was a good beer. It is pale straw in color, with a smooth, slight fruity flavor reminiscent of fresh berries. It has a delicate hop finish.

Served as part of a sampler tray at their brewpub. This was a very clear and bright beer. Shiny golden in color with a thin layer of foam. The aroma has a resin-like quality to it. Pine and lemon in there. The taste has a sour tang, and tastes a bit different. Earthy hops and a yeasty sourness comes through, also some caramel sweetness. Different and more flavorful than your normal Helles, but overall it's an interesting beer. I enjoyed it.
