Cask braggot at the general. 10oz glass of off-white golden yellow liquid that reminded me of a pale cask boddingtons. Aromas are sweet honey, some bittering spices, and not much else. Taste is sweet, but not cloying with an interestingly spicy middle and bone dry, near bitter finish. Not what I expect in a mead-like beverage, but not bad. Mouthfeel is smooth, supple, cask goodness and drinkabilty is decent, but not killer. I don't have much of a reference point for this one, but it definately wasnt bad. not my all-time favorite honey based beverage, but a good braggot none-the-less. Different and unique when compared to the few other braggots that I have had. Worth $5 for a throw.

Pours a delicious appearance of falling foam froth. The GENERAL is equipped with exceptional hand pumps.
Subdued scents of slight apricot and malty subtleness.
Overall, a drinkable smooth cask conditioned brew that mostly revolved around a delicate peach meets gin booze notes.
Last swigs: If you are daring enough to try a braggot, this is worth a $5 spin. Otherwise, don't get too excited.

My first foray into the braggot style and I have to say I was not impressed at all!Poured a deep yellow with no head to speak of at all, aroma was a little honeyish but not much there.Taste was sweet with no complexities to it at all,the watery thin body made me pour it out after half a glass when the bartender left the room. This place brews great beer I am not sure of this stuff was old or is it really that bad?
