Straw yellow. Thick cask head. Hops on the nose, as the previous reviewer noted- East Kent Golding was the hops used.

Malt noticeable but not strong enough. Hops are noticeable in hte taste, but British hops on-cask remind me a lot of iced tea.

No smoother a mouthfeel will anyone ever experience. Exceptional. The taste can hold its own, but oddly enough for me, this beer's drinkability is driven by its mouthfeel.

First brew in the "singles" series by The General. They use one malt, one hop, and one yeast. In this case, they used The British Maris Otter Malt and the Kent Goldings hop.
Appears a pale gold with a 2 finger loose white head that loves to cling to the glass. Plenty of scattered lacing is left behind.
Smell is of a sweet herbal tea and floral aroma with a touch of apple juice being detected.
Taste is of a mildly bitter(28 IBU's) pale ale that has a beautiful smoothness of the aformentioned aromas that truley makes this a Brit beer.
Mouthfeel is smooth with some apple and tea delicate tastes flowing with a touch of bitterness mixed with a sweetness that blends well.
Drinkability is good. Nice delicious brew. The General seems to have had a nice solid winner on cask the past few visits.
I actually like this on the cask much better than from the nitro pour only because the apple juice taste seems to overwhelm the other delicate flavors with the nitrogen, although that version is decent as well.

Definitely get this on the cask if you can. It tried it both ways and both were good, but the cask was my definite favorite for smoothness and drinkability. Lemon straw color looks appetizing in the imperial pint glass. Good color and excellent clarity. An exceptionally balalnced beer. A subtle unusual herbal note to this beer- which leads me to bleieve that this is the hops and the secret yeast strain at work. Excellent carbonation for its serving style and as I knock back my second, I think that the drinkability is truly exceptional. Great summertime beer that gets your buzz on with out hammering you. Mellow gold.

A perfect cask pour with a room temp/cool action. (The barkeep even washed off the bottom of the glass after the overflow!) The Bachelor pours a bright foggy gold straw with plenty of settling thick ivory head cap that settles into the body.

Sweet scents of light citrus lemon and orange fruit.

First swigs: Initial flavors of pithy grapefruit and then some peach nectar aspects are highly pronounced, sneaking under the soft gentle oh so good carbonation. Some astringent feel and brewed tea dryness arises.

Worth a try on cask as opposed to on tap. Quite drinkable. I want more as I write this. The single East Kent Goldings hops are a twist. Also, single malts are Marris Otter. 28 IBU on the beer menu.
