Really good. This was a "secret beer" selection and I found it to be steller. Peppery notes with a very pleasant sweet taste and crisp wheat tone. I think of this more as spring wheat beer than American Ale. It has the nice combination of earthiness and sweetness that reminds me of a mild wheat rather than a more barley based lager. Great beer.

Apparently brewed for the brewer's wedding a few years back, this is definately a great session beer.
Light belgian style with spicy initial taste. Further sampling reveals a nice subtle citrus tone...
Dry and crisp a great beer to go with light summer-ish meals.
Low alcohol and clean finish allow for multiple full sized samples!

Pours a ruddy blonde hazy offering with an ivory headcap that settles with decent lacing.
Scents are suggetive of a Belgian with some doughy aspects and spices of coriander and pepper.
First swigs: Straddles the fence between saison and a Belgian pale but mostly a saison with powdery doughy and pepper spices. Big spices and dusty dry.
Feel is well carbonated and medium feel. Dusty aftertaste. Undetectable ABV.
Last swigs: Nice job, Chris.

The General's Matrimoniale is done in the witbier style with a just-slightly-hazy golden body topped by a frothy head of bright white that holds fairly well before dropping to a thin collar. The nose reveals a distinctly wheat-based malt along with some mild citrus and a subtle touch of spiciness. It's crisp in the mouth with a very fine, effervescent carbonation and medium-light body. Wheat malt dominates the flavor as it does the aroma, enlivened by its citrus-peel fruitiness, delicate yeasty spiciness, and low-key bitterness. It finishes short, dry, and refreshing. An excellent summer beer that delivers a good amount of flavor along with great drinkability and a slightly lower alcohol content than most of their beers.
