I love to try a cask anything. 6.5-7% A.B.V. on this one. Roasty smooth, and coffee roast aroma. Served at near room temperature. Average for the style as not all that much flavour. Dark black a thin tan head. Low carbonation, doesn't need much carbonation.

Dark black with a small head of tan foam. The aromas are of roasted malts, coffee, milk chocolate, and more. The taste of this brew is reminiscent of a laid-back version of Shakespeare stout and the mouthfeel is similar to the Shakespeare as well! The drinkability for this brew is damn good. In fact, this is one of the best brewpub Oatmeal stouts that I have had!

Black with 1/2" tan head that recedes to surface foam. The aroma contains roasted malts and a hint of burnt coffee. The flavor is quite nice as roasted malts, caramel, oats, coffee, and a whipser of bitter chocolate are well balanced. There is a slight overall burnt flavor, but not in an unpleasant way.

The start is smooth and creamy, and the finish is also creamy. The roasted malts and coffee tones linger briefly on the tongue. Medium to heavy in body. Carbonation level is mild. Very good drinkability.

This is an opague black stout with an amazing aroma of smoky malt and oats. A large brown head with terrific lacing all the way down the glass. The taste is smoky, malty, yeasty, and full of the grain. It is a really nice stout for a small local brewery. It is very full bodied in the mouth almost heavy. Anothe General Lafayette worth the trip.
